Connecting Nepal & France.

Since the establishment of NFCCI, it has gone through various evolutions. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, the Chamber's activities and responsibilities were very busy and very demanding because many Nepalese exporters sought assistance in finding business connections in France. Likewise, French businesses also communicated with the Chamber to find partners and obtain information about Nepal's rules and regulations related to doing business and establishing industries in Nepal.

The development of faster means of international communication, such as email and internet-based communication, along with occasional natural disasters and decades of political instability, gradually reduced the Chamber's role. The devastating earthquakes of 2015, followed by the COVID-19 pandemic, had a significant impact on businesses and industries in Nepal. This, in turn, contributed to a decline in the Chamber's activities and role.

Presently, the Chamber continues to provide French and interested Nepalese business houses with necessary information about business opportunities and conditions in both countries. However, with the advancement of the internet and online information services, fewer parties now require direct assistance in accessing such information.
